Washing your own cloth diapers really is easy!
We have been using cloth diapers for the past 4 years and an extra couple of loads of laundry every week is so simple.
Here is my basic wash routine:
1 cold short wash (no detergent)
1 long hot wash (1 oz detergent & 1/2 cap of Calgon water softener*)
1 additional cold rinse
* We have hard well water, so the Calgon is only necessary if you have hard water
Over the past four years we have used many different detergents. We have had the best results with Shaklee detergent and recommend it to all of our cloth diaper customers.
